DJ Samoa Boy

Zombie Village welcomes DJ Samoa Boy.

Spinning 60s 45rpm vinyl, Samoa Boy serves "Island Soul"—a genre of his own making, born from heritage and a lifetime of musical influence. It's a culmination of Polynesian rhythms, Latin beats, South Pacific exotica, and percussion-driven soul, pressed onto wax and spun raw the way it was meant to be heard.

Heritage, rhythm, and deep grooves under the torchlight. Come move with us. 🌺🗿

Lee Vilensky Trio

Lee Vilensky Trio has no interest in lyrics. Words, in their estimation, get in the way — of feeling, of groove, of whatever it is music is actually trying to say. Formed in 2000 from the remains of the Swingin' Johnsons, the band made the switch to all-instrumentals early on (partly philosophical, partly due to the unpredictable behavior and general unsavory appearance of most vocalists). What started as a side project for well-traveled Bay Area sidemen has grown into one of SF's most beloved instrumental acts and the self-declared founders of the West Coast Spy/Soul movement. Groove and feel, melody and harmony — unencumbered, unapologetic, and blessedly word-free.

Speakeasy Ray

Zombie Village summons Speakeasy Ray this Thursday.

For 35+ years, this Bay Area DJ and producer has been spinning wherever the grooves are needed—raves, festivals, clubs, dives—weaving downtempo, trip-hop, ambient house, techno, and re-edits through a deep love of classic soul, funk, Northern Soul, and Balearic rhythm. He's been collecting records since age 3, behind the turntables since 1989, co-founded the famed chillroom crew The Ambient Mafia, and has lent remix and production work to the likes of Manchester legends James, Rowetta of Happy Mondays, and Q-Burns Abstract Message.

He's also one of the Bay's most beloved tiki DJs—a fixture at Trader Vic's, Forbidden Island, Dr. Funk, and Kapu, and the host of Tiki Tuesdays on Twitch. 2026 brings his rediscovered single "I Want To Believe," mastered by techno producer Joe Farr.

The torches are lit. Come let him spin. 🗿🌴
