The Hiwatters are a San Francisco Bay Area Classic Surf Music Ensemble.
Formed during the stormy winter of 2006 under harsh conditions,
The Hiwatters exude the power and majesty of the ocean’s roar.
Vintage surf guitar classics peppered with modern driving rhythms.
Drenched in reverb and high on style, the Hiwatters are keeping the swing of
classic surf music alive in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Solid, reliable and very entertaining, the Hiwatters know how to work a stage and
adjust volume & material when appropriate.
Sets may also include classic blues numbers in addition to surf music.
A video projector to show curated vintage surf clips is included if the venue permits.
The Hiwatters are the perfect choice for Tiki Parties, Luaus, Beach parties, and are
fun for all ages at many types of events.

The Hiwatters have released 2 full length albums on the Berrysausage Productions label.

The Gnarlymen are a four-piece instrumental band diving into surf, spaghetti Western and spy music.  Dripping with reverb and dramatic melodies, soaring keyboards and twangy guitars, the sound will transport you to exotic islands and deserts, mountains, oceans and skies.  

Our music consists of original surf, spy movie, and Ennio Morricone-inspired original songs and arrangements of classics. Come bask in the reverb!
